This resort is located on Agatti Island. Around it are smaller islands like Bangaram, Thinnakara and Parali. Agatti Island houses the sole airport of Lakshadweep. There are flights from Goa and Cochin. There is also a passenger liner that brings tourists to the island. It is a breathtaking spectacle of sparkling coral reefs, turquoise blue lagoons, silvery beaches and lush green coconut palms that sway to the rhythm of the sea.
The Agatti Island Beach Resort has 20 cottages and you can stay in A/C, Deluxe and Non A/C rooms that are built with wood and concrete. You’ll find European style furnishings inside. Each beachfront cottage is meant for two people. There is a well equipped communication and business center; it can hold up to 40 persons.There is a restaurant called 'Thakkaram' that serves various Indian, Continental, Chinese and Lakshadweep cuisine. You can also have bar-be-que dinner on the sea side. There is a coffee shop on the terrace.
The coral reefs, blue lagoons, silver beaches and lush coconut palms that abound in the island offer a picturesque stay for the holidayers. Agatti is the gateway to Lakshadweep.
Lakshadweep enjoys a tropical climate with summer temperatures ranging from 30-33 0C during April and May and winter temperatures from 27 - 32 degrees C during the months of September to March. Water Temperature is usually around 25 - 27 degrees C. From May to early September there’s plenty of rainfall in the islands. It also rains a little during October and November. However, rainfall is scanty and falls as passing showers.
It’s a wonderful place for adventure and sports lovers. Kayaking, Scuba Diving, Glass bottom boat riding, Canoeing, Snorkeling, Water Skiing, are arranged by the resort. The re is also a licensed Scuba Diving Center at the resort where tourists are taught diving by certified and experienced divers and guides.
